Description
Les Dunes is a natural beach and coastal destination on the Passeig de Voramar, in the Sa Marina – Barcarés – Manresa area north of Alcudia.
Water & Beach
The shoreline is made up mostly of rocks and stones, so sturdy water shoes are recommended for entering the sea. Move about thirty metres out from the shore, however, and the ground underfoot becomes considerably more comfortable. Further out still, the water turns crystal clear and is well worth exploring with a snorkel. The depth increases very gradually, making this stretch particularly well-suited to young children. Waves are minimal — the bay is calm and sheltered, which also makes it an appealing spot for paddleboarding, kayaking, and surfing.
Sunset & Atmosphere
Les Dunes is a well-regarded spot for watching the sunset. Shaded areas are available, and the crowd here is mostly made up of locals rather than tourists. Parking nearby is limited, so it's worth arriving early or coming by bike.
Getting Here by Bike
The cycle path along the coast from Pollença to Alcudia covers around five kilometres and runs right along the water's edge, passing directly along the Passeig de Voramar — a lovely, easy ride.
National Park Notice
The adjoining national park area is closed from 1 March through to the end of August, and access on foot is not permitted during this period. Pedestrians can walk along the road instead, though there is no separate footpath.

Yes — the water shelves very gradually and stays shallow for a good distance, making it comfortable for young children. That said, the stony shoreline means water shoes are a good idea.

Is any part of the area restricted?
