Description

Librería Ripoll is an antiquarian bookshop in the heart of Palma, specialising in old books, manuscripts and prints.

History & Revival

The story of the shop began in 1930, when founder Tomás Ripoll Sastre from Randa first opened his doors on Carrer de Can Sanç. After a wartime interruption, the business moved through several locations — Carrer de Verge de Lluc, then Carrer de Sant Miquel — across the decades. Following the founder's death in 1971, his nephew Manuel Ripoll took over the helm, until the economic crisis of 2015 forced the physical shop to close. The bookshop had already embraced online selling back in the 1990s, which kept the business alive throughout. Today, Librería Ripoll is back at its original address on Carrer de Can Sanç.
