Description

Los Platos de Soto is a restaurant serving Asturian cuisine in Es Pont d'Inca, Marratxí.

Asturian cuisine on Mallorca

The heart of the menu is the cachopo — a large, stuffed escalope available in a variety of fillings, including cecina with goat's cheese, sobrasada, ham with cheese, and fish versions. Each cachopo is so generously sized that one is easily enough for two people. Rounding out the menu are home-made croquettes — filled with oxtail, ham, cecina or rump steak — alongside classic Asturian stews such as fabada, pote asturiano, fabes con almejas and callos. Patatas bravas, a lobster salad and chorizos a la sidra also feature. For dessert, you can finish with ensaimada with rice pudding or rice pudding on its own. The food pairs beautifully with cider, poured in the traditional Asturian fashion from a great height. Portions throughout are generous.

The venue: a traditional Mallorcan house with terrace and garden

The restaurant is set inside a characterful old Mallorcan townhouse with several dining rooms, a large patio, a garden and a terrace. The atmosphere blends the warmth of a family home with plenty of space for groups and families alike.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the cachopos really big enough to share?
Yes — the cachopos are very generously portioned and a single one is plenty for two people. If you'd like to try several fillings, ordering two cachopos between a larger group works a treat.
Do I need to pre-order a cachopo in advance?
For particularly popular fillings — such as the cecina version — it's worth pre-ordering, as these tend to sell out quickly.
Is there anything on the menu besides cachopos?
Absolutely. The menu also includes Asturian stews (fabada, pote asturiano, fabes con almejas, callos), home-made croquettes, patatas bravas, lobster salad, and a selection of meat and fish dishes.
Is takeaway available?
Yes, the restaurant offers a takeaway service.
