Mamalula is a designer jewellery studio in Palma, creating handcrafted pieces and offering its own jewellery-making workshops.

Craft & Collections

Behind Mamalula are sisters Mercedes and María Saura. Every piece — rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and brooches — is made by hand and shaped in the minimalist spirit of their designer line. Materials include minerals, gemstones, coral and 925 silver; the silver is textured, enamelled, gold-plated or oxidised to bring out the natural character of each piece. María and Mercedes draw their design inspiration from nature and their surroundings. Alongside the studio, there is also an online shop.

Workshops: Make Your Own Jewellery

Mamalula runs courses where you design and craft your very own jewellery. In the ring course and the earring workshop, you work under María's guidance to create a personal, one-of-a-kind piece. Groups are kept small — the ring course accommodates a maximum of four people and lasts just over three hours, while the earring workshop can be completed in around two and a half hours. The workshops also make a wonderful gift and are often booked as a shared experience — between mothers and daughters, or among friends.

Bespoke Pieces & Special Occasions

For wedding rings, Mamalula works individually with each customer: finishes, style and details are discussed together, and the whole process is accompanied from start to finish.
