Description
Marineland Mallorca in Costa d'en Blanes is a marine park featuring dolphin and sea lion shows, aquariums, and a range of animal experiences.
Shows and Animal Experiences
The centrepiece of the park is its live animal shows. The dolphin choreographies — sometimes featuring up to six animals at once — are what Marineland is best known for, and the sea lion performances are equally popular. The close working relationship between trainers and animals is clearly on display throughout. In the bird area, you can get up close to parrots and other species, and even touch them. The programme is rounded out by feeding sessions and the chance to have photos taken with dolphins or sea lions. A hands-on water session with the dolphins is also available.
Who the Park Is Right For
The park is aimed primarily at families with children. A splash area gives little ones the chance to cool off between activities, and children can touch and feed fish. The site is compact and easy to navigate, making it well suited to a day trip. Some visitors raise concerns about the size of the pools and the keeping conditions for the marine mammals — if this is something you feel strongly about, it is worth factoring into your decision.
Location and Getting There
Marineland Mallorca is located at Carrer Garcilaso de la Vega 9 in Costa d'en Blanes. A paid car park is available directly at the entrance. The park is also reachable by bus, with a stop just nearby.
Good to Know
Tickets can be bought in advance online, which speeds up entry at the gate. Online bookers receive a parking voucher, though this must be redeemed at the entrance. There are food options inside the park, though queues can build up at busy times.
