Description
The Mercat d'Inca is a covered market hall in Inca, the commercial heart of inland Mallorca.
The Market Hall
Inside the hall you'll find stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, and bread and pastries, alongside bars where you can eat and drink at the counter. Local Mallorcan produce — cheese, cured meats, olives and gourmet goods — is very much the market's calling card. If you're after leather goods from Inca, you're in the right place: the town's leather products are particularly well regarded here.
The Thursday Market
On Thursdays, the weekly market spills well beyond the hall and spreads throughout the town centre. The range expands to include clothing, jewellery, bags, kitchenware and plants. The atmosphere is lively on market days, and those who arrive early get the best pick.
Location & Getting There
The market hall is on Carrer de la Pau in the centre of Inca, close to the main shopping street. There is a paid car park directly beneath the building. It can fill up quickly on market days, so it's worth arriving early.
