From the Mirador de Son Gual, the eye sweeps across the sea in a 180° arc. Sitting just below the Mirador de ses Basses, it offers a subtly different perspective — from Valldemossa you can make out Puig Galatzó and Puig de sa Moneda. The two viewpoints are only a few minutes' walk apart.

The Ascent

The path to the top is rocky and physically demanding, especially in the heat. Allow around an hour for the climb. Much of the route is pleasantly shaded by vegetation. Towards the end, the trails become less well marked, so a GPS device is well worth bringing along. Along the way, you're likely to encounter local wildlife and flora — the occasional goat included.
