Description
The Moleta de's Esclop is a summit in the Serra de Tramuntana, within the municipality of Andratx, reachable via walking trails from the western part of Mallorca.
Views & Experience at the Summit
Reaching the top rewards you with a sweeping panorama stretching across much of the island, particularly to the west and towards the Galatzó. The summit experience is well worth the effort — even when clouds or mist reduce visibility, the surrounding Tramuntana landscape ensures an impressive overall impression.
Route & What to Expect
The ascent begins at the car park near kilometre 97 of the Ma-10, from where the path initially crosses open grassland and takes roughly two and a half hours to reach the summit. The route is not consistently signposted; cairns mark the way, though they can occasionally be misleading. Mobile signal is patchy along the route. In the upper section the terrain becomes noticeably steeper and rockier, and loose stones make the descent slippery. The demanding final stretch makes this walk unsuitable for young children.
Starting Point & Location
The starting point sits along the coastal road Ma-10 in the municipality of Andratx. The address of this natural landmark is listed as 07150 Andratx.
