Description

The Molí de Santa Ponça is a historic landmark in the municipality of Calvià, Mallorca — a well-preserved windmill that stands as a testament to the region's past.

The Historic Monument

The windmill dates back to 1810 and stands today in good condition at the centre of a landscaped garden. As one of the few older structures in the Santa Ponça area, it holds genuine cultural value as part of Mallorcan heritage. The interior is not accessible — the entrance and the small staircase leading up to the mill are closed off.

Views & Photo Opportunities

From the right angle, the mill makes for a charming subject — framed by the surrounding garden and with the mountains visible in the background. The brief stop is particularly worthwhile if you have an interest in Mallorcan architecture and history.

How to Find It

The windmill sits directly on a roundabout at the Santa Ponça exit, along the Ma-1014 road in Calvià, and is clearly visible from the main road. There is a gravel parking area right beside the site. Those on foot can reach the mill from Santa Ponça along a path without having to walk along the roadside. A footbridge and a bus stop are also located nearby.
