The menu at NU fits on a single sheet of A4 — and changes regularly. Everything that arrives at the table is fresh, seasonal and homemade: bread, pasta, desserts and sauces are all prepared in-house. Dishes such as burrito, squid, lemon cream cake and torrija have made a lasting impression on diners. Vegetarian options are available, and the generous portions are designed for sharing.

The entrance looks unassuming — step through it and you pass the open kitchen before emerging into a leafy inner courtyard, where you can eat beneath orange trees. Inside, there is a central communal table and the atmosphere is relaxed and homely. The concept is deliberately informal: no reservations, no fuss.
