Description
Nuestra Señora de la Paz is a viewpoint with a statue and chapel in the Ponent neighbourhood above Palma, reached via the Camí na Burguesa.
Panorama over Palma and the Bay
The plateau commands a sweeping panorama over the city of Palma, the bay, and the surrounding countryside — including views across to Bellver Castle. The outlook is the real draw, and for most visitors it more than justifies the journey. In the evening and at night the panorama is particularly impressive.
Statue, Chapel and Nature
The site is home to the statue that gives it its name, as well as a chapel. The whole area sits within natural surroundings; goats roam the grounds freely. Walking and running trails wind through the vicinity, and the site is popular with cyclists too. Note that part of the upper area is private land and not open to the public.
Condition of the Site
Litter on the grounds is a recurring concern that takes the shine off the experience for many visitors. The restaurant on the plateau is closed.
Location & Getting There
The viewpoint is in the Ponent neighbourhood of Palma, on the Camí na Burguesa, s/n. The access road is narrow, winding, and in places in poor condition — take care on the way up. Parking at the top is limited. You can also reach the summit on foot, by bicycle, or by scooter, though the climb on foot is steep and strenuous.
