Description
Panadería Cafetería Son Campos is a traditional Mallorcan bakery and café in the Ponent neighbourhood of Palma.
Baked Goods and Specialities
At the heart of Son Campos are classic Mallorcan baked goods, all made on the premises. The ensaimadas are a particular highlight, as are the empanadas — available in a range of fillings including lamb, chicken, squid, artichoke, meat, pea and sobrasada. Further bread and pastry specialities include llonguets, pumpkin and wholegrain loaves, coca de pimientos, coca de trampó, cocarrois and robiols. Among the cakes and sweet pastries you'll find roscón, cremadillos, mille-feuille, cheesecake, lemon cake, cardinal and sachertorte. Those who arrive early will find the widest selection.
Coffee and Breakfast
For a leisurely visit, café con leche, cappuccino and hot chocolate with churros are all on offer. The combination of freshly baked pastries and good coffee makes Son Campos a reliable breakfast spot. There is a small seating area inside where you can sit and enjoy your order.
Family Business and Atmosphere
Son Campos is a down-to-earth, family-run operation — unpretentious but genuinely welcoming. The shop is small, which gives it a pleasantly personal character. The younger generation of the same family now runs the business that earlier visitors knew more than twenty years ago.
Delivery and Takeaway
Alongside eating in, Son Campos offers both takeaway and a delivery service. Ensaimadas and cakes have been sent to other parts of Spain and arrived in excellent condition.
Location
The bakery is located at Carrer de Cervantes 2 in the Ponent neighbourhood of Palma, close to the Santa Catalina quarter.
