Pantà de Gorg Blau
Description
The Pantà de Gorg Blau is a man-made reservoir in the Serra de Tramuntana on Mallorca, serving as one of the island's most important drinking water reserves.
Nature in the Heart of the Mountains
Gorg Blau sits nestled within the mountain landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana and is the largest reservoir in the range. The views across the lake and the surrounding peaks are stunning, and the atmosphere is calm and unspoilt. The nature reserve around the reservoir is well maintained, and the surroundings are perfect for a leisurely stroll or short walk. Swimming in the reservoir is not permitted.
Day Trips & Activities
Gorg Blau makes an excellent base for walks and excursions into the Tramuntana. It pairs beautifully with a visit to the nearby Cúber reservoir, making for a rewarding combined outing. For a longer stay with the family, picnic areas, bins, and toilet facilities are all available on site.
Getting There
The reservoir is located at Pantà de Gorg Blau, 07315, Illes Balears. There are only a handful of parking spaces right at the entrance, but a much larger free car park can be found roughly 200 metres further along.
