Parque de la Riera
Description
Parque de la Riera is a sprawling urban park in the north of Palma, laid out along the historic course of the Torrente de la Riera.
Green space along a historic watercourse
The park follows the historical route of the Torrente de la Riera, forming a long, linear stretch of greenery through the city. Shaded paths invite you to stroll, jog or cycle, and where the trees have had time to mature, the dense canopy provides welcome shade. Waterways and fountains are a defining feature throughout.
Sport, play and activity
Children are well catered for with a generous playground centred around a castle-style climbing structure. Active visitors will find football, basketball and volleyball courts, a skate ramp and outdoor fitness equipment. Dogs are welcome too, with a dedicated off-lead area set aside for them.
Location & getting there
The park is situated on C/ de Jesús 27A in the northern district of Palma. Accessible parking is available nearby, and there is also a multi-storey car park in the vicinity.
