Description
The Passeig Marítim is the seafront promenade of Port d'Alcúdia in the north of Mallorca — a palm-lined coastal strip with a harbour atmosphere, restaurants and shops right by the sea.
Strolling, resting and soaking up the views
The palm-lined promenade runs along the coastline of Port d'Alcúdia, offering uninterrupted views of the sea and the surrounding mountains. Plenty of benches invite you to sit a while, and the spacious pedestrian area is equally suited to a leisurely stroll, a morning jog or simply sitting quietly and watching the world go by. The scenery is at its most striking at sunrise and sunset.
Restaurants, cafés and little shops
On the seaward side, restaurant terraces with water views line the promenade one after another, while on the landward side small shops make for a pleasant browse. Venturing into the side streets of the adjacent town, you'll come across buildings adorned with striking murals. Markets are held on the Passeig from time to time — including a night market and a Christmas market, with what's on offer varying depending on the time of year.
Great for families and visitors of all ages
The promenade is well set up for families: the harbour area has attractions and activities aimed at children. Its open, largely flat character makes it a welcoming spot for a wide range of visitors.
