Description
Pep Llabrés Art Contemporani is a contemporary art gallery in the heart of Palma, with a focus on abstract art.
Profile & Programme
The gallery was founded in April 2015 by Pep Llabrés, who had previously spent nearly two decades at the Joan Oliver "Maneu" Galeria d'Art — the last eight years of which as its director. He also served as president of AIGAB (Associació Independent de Galeries d'Art). The exhibition programme is centred on abstract art and is aimed at audiences who want to look beyond local art production. Works by both emerging and established artists are shown, and the gallery takes part in international art fairs, including ART COLOGNE.
Exhibitions
Past exhibitions have included works by Rubén Rodrigo and Carmen Rotger ("Avui tot serà blau" / "Today will be blue"), Gilbert Herreyns ("Crossing Paths"), and Alejandro Botubol. The gallery also takes part in the Nit de l'Art, Palma's annual gallery evening.
Location & Surroundings
The gallery is located at Carrer de Sant Jaume 17 in the Centre district of Palma.
