Description

Perl Art is a free pearl museum with an attached shop in Palma, bringing the history of pearl-making in Mallorca to life.

Museum & Shop Under One Roof

Entry to the museum is completely free. The collection features exhibits and explanations tracing the history and development of pearl production — from antiquity through the 17th century to the birth of the Mallorcan artificial pearl, known as the Majorca Pearl. Once you've had a look around, the attached shop offers pearl jewellery and designs from the PerlArt range. Allow around 15 to 20 minutes for a visit.

Background: PerlArt and the Majorca Pearl

PerlArt was founded in 2012, drawing on more than 25 years of experience in crafting Perlas de Mallorca (Majorca Pearls). Alongside its signature artificial pearls, the house also carries cultured real pearls. Certificates of authenticity are issued for selected pieces.

Right in the Heart of Palma

The museum is located at Plaça de Cort 3 in the Centre district of Palma — right in the old town and easily reached on foot.
