Description

Platja de Cala Bona is a sandy beach set within artificial breakwater coves in Son Servera, on the east coast of Mallorca.

The Beach

Cala Bona's beach sits within a sheltered bay protected by breakwaters. The sand is the main feature, though some areas are stony underfoot. The water is clear, and fish can be spotted along the seabed. Seagrass is cleared regularly each morning, though seaweed can occasionally cause unpleasant smells in the bay. Official events are sometimes held on the beach.

Families & Accessibility

Cala Bona is a great choice for families and works well for younger children — though supervision is recommended when the waves pick up, as the backwash can be surprisingly strong. A ramp provides easy access for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Sun loungers are available to hire on site, and there are toilets at the beach.

Around the Beach

Tapas bars, restaurants and a music bar with sea views are all within easy reach, right along the beachfront and around the neighbouring harbour. It's a lovely spot for an evening stroll. The adjacent beach of Cala Millor is also within easy walking distance.

Getting There

The beach is located at Passeig Marítim de Cala Bona 1A in Son Servera, 07559 Son Servera, Illes Balears.
