Platja de Magaluf
Description
Platja de Magaluf is a wide, sandy beach in the municipality of Calvià in south-west Mallorca, nestled in a sheltered bay and surrounded by hotels, restaurants and bars.
Beach & Water
The beach impresses with fine sand, plenty of space to sunbathe and calm, crystal-clear water. The seabed shelves relatively quickly — something worth keeping in mind when swimming. Showers are available directly on the beach.
Activities & Facilities
If you fancy more than just soaking up the sun, there are plenty of watersports on offer: jet skis, banana boats, pedal boats, boat trips and beach volleyball are all available. Sun loungers and parasols can be hired on site.
The Surroundings: Food, Drink & Nightlife
Bars, restaurants, cafés and shops line the beachfront. The location right alongside a lively strip defines the atmosphere here — if you're after peace and quiet, this probably isn't your spot; if you love a buzz and having everything on your doorstep, you'll be right at home.
Location & Getting There
The beach is in Magaluf, municipality of Calvià (07181), in the south-west of the island. Surrounding resort hotels are within easy walking distance. Accessible entrances and accessible parking are available.
Outside the Peak Season
In the winter months, Magaluf takes on a completely different character: the beach becomes noticeably quieter and is a lovely spot for a relaxed stroll. If you'd like to experience the place away from the summer crowds, you'll find a whole other side to it.
