Platja de s'Illot
Description
Platja de s'Illot is a sandy beach on the east coast of Mallorca, situated in the small coastal village of S'Illot, also known as Cala Moreia.
Beach & Water
The beach impresses with fine sand, clear blue water and a gently shelving shoreline. The water is particularly shallow close to the shore, making it ideal for sunbathing and splashing about. The rocky sections offer a great opportunity to explore the underwater world.
Atmosphere & Surroundings
Compared to other beaches on Mallorca, this one has a calm and relaxed feel. A promenade runs along the coastline, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Nearby you'll find bars, cafés, restaurants and shops that make it easy to spend a full day here — though the choice of dining and refreshments is noticeably more limited out of season. There's a free zone where you can set up with your own towel or parasol.
Location & Getting There
The beach is located in S'Illot (07687), a village on the island's east coast that is administratively split between the municipalities of Manacor and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, divided by the Torrent de Ca n'Amer. Parking is available nearby.
Facilities
Toilets and changing facilities are not particularly well provided for, which can feel like a shortcoming given the size of the surrounding hotel complexes. Bins are dotted around the beach.
