Platja de Son Real is a secluded natural beach on Mallorca's north-east coast, situated in Son Real within the municipality of Santa Margalida.

Rocky Coastline & Natural Beach

Platja de Son Real stretches as an undeveloped coastal strip between Playa Son Baulo and Son Serra de Marina. The shoreline is rocky, with striking wave-sculpted rock formations, and the water along the western section is particularly stony — so water shoes are strongly recommended. Seaweed can make swimming tricky depending on conditions, though on those days the beach makes for a wonderful coastal walk.

The area around Son Real carries real archaeological weight: a necropolis on the grounds of the Finca Pública de Son Real gives the spot a fascinating historical dimension, well worth combining with a beach visit. The finca sits on the road between Can Picafort and Artà.
