Description

Platja Estanys is a sweeping sandy beach in Mallorca with crystal-clear turquoise water and soft white sand.

Water, Sand and Nature

The water at Platja Estanys is crystal clear and turquoise, with a gentle, shallow entry that makes getting in a breeze. The beach itself is made up of fine white sand and stretches far enough that you can always find a quiet spot, even on busier days. Towards the back of the beach you'll notice natural seagrass — a hallmark of this coastline and entirely normal, not something to worry about. The beach is well worth a visit outside the peak summer months too, as the water stays pleasantly warm well into spring and autumn.

Mood and Atmosphere

Platja Estanys is a calmer alternative to the nearby Es Trenc. There is a restaurant called 5illes right on the beach; beyond that, cafés or bars are not available here. At the right-hand end of the beach there is a naturist area. Sun loungers and parasols are available in parts.

Location and Getting There

The beach is right on the edge of the local area, with the main access point next to the Hotel Marques. There is a free car park nearby, from which the beach is an easy walk. Some of the signposted access routes have been closed at times, so it's worth checking the current situation before you head out.
