Playa de Illetes
Description
Playa de Illetes is a sandy beach in Cas Català-Illetes, just west of Palma.
Water, Sand and Nature
This little cove impresses with crystal-clear, turquoise water and fine white sand. The purity of the water and the cleanliness of the beach are consistently outstanding. Natural shade from the trees offers a welcome alternative to hiring a sun umbrella. The calm, clear water is perfect for swimming and snorkelling — dip below the surface and you'll discover fish and the fascinating underwater world of the bay.
On-Site Facilities
Sun loungers and parasols are available to hire on the beach. There's a beach bar and a small kiosk, as well as a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the bay. Toilets are also available on site.
Location & Getting There
The beach is located at Carrer Cala Contesa 6 in Cas Català-Illetes. Parking nearby is plentiful and free outside the summer months, though spaces become harder to find during peak season. The beach is also easy to reach by bus from Palma — line 4 runs directly to the stop, from which it's a short walk down to the cove.
Crowds & When to Visit
The cove is small and draws plenty of visitors during the summer months. If you want to secure a spot, it's worth arriving early, as the best places tend to go quickly in the morning. Outside peak season — around October or November — the beach is far quieter yet loses none of its charm.
