Description

Playa del Arenal is a long sandy beach in Les Maravelles, Mallorca, and one of the best-known stretches along the Playa de Palma.

Sand, Sea and Space

What makes the Arenal stand out is the combination of fine, soft sand and turquoise, crystal-clear water. The beach stretches for an impressive distance — running for several kilometres from Arenal all the way to Can Pastilla — meaning there's plenty of room to find a quiet spot even at the height of summer. In shallower sections the water stays gentle for a good few metres out, making it easy to walk straight in.

What's Around

Restaurants, shops and supermarkets line the seafront, with the offer very much aimed at holidaymakers. If you fancy a lively evening out, there's no shortage of bars and entertainment nearby — the area around Bierkönig and Megapark is well known for its buzzing nightlife. If peace and quiet is more your thing, you'll find the whole place far more relaxed outside the peak summer months.

Getting Here

The beach is located in Les Maravelles (Platja de Palma, 07600) and is well served by public transport, with several bus routes connecting it to Palma. Getting here by car is equally straightforward, and parking is generally easy to come by outside the busiest periods.
