Playa Muro
Description
Playa Muro is a sweeping sandy beach in Alcúdia, in the north-east of Mallorca.
Beach & Water
Fine white sand, clear water and a very gently shelving shoreline define Playa Muro. The sea stays shallow and calm for a long way out, and the beach is long and wide enough to explore on foot from end to end.
Nature Reserve & Pine Grove
Stretches of the beach border a pine grove that provides natural shade. Quieter spots away from the busier areas can be found towards the northern end of the beach, closer to the nature reserve.
Location & Getting There
The beach is located at Carrer de la Vidalba 10 in Alcúdia. Parking can be in short supply at peak times, so arriving early is advisable.
Cleanliness & Facilities
The beach is patrolled regularly by litter collectors, and bins are dotted throughout. Toilet facilities are available at certain sections. A lifeguard service is in place, and sun lounger and parasol hire is on offer.
How Busy Does It Get?
The central stretches of the beach draw large crowds. For a quieter experience, the early morning hours or the more peripheral parts of the beach are the better bet. Seaweed can occasionally appear in the water.
