Description
The Plaza de Toros de Alcúdia is a historic bullring and listed monument in Alcúdia, now used as a venue for flamenco shows and as a cultural landmark well worth a visit.
A Historic Monument with a New Purpose
The bullring in Alcúdia dates back to 1892 and is one of the best-preserved monuments of its kind on Mallorca. Its architecture is typical of traditional Spanish arenas and makes for a wonderfully photogenic sight. The circular stone structure with its tiered stands radiates an authentic Mallorcan atmosphere that makes the place worth visiting even outside of any scheduled events.
Flamenco in the Arena
The Plaza de Toros has built a strong reputation as a flamenco venue. Performances here are described as outstanding — the combination of dance and song against the backdrop of the old ring creates a truly memorable experience. Families with young children should bear in mind that evening shows tend to finish late.
Location & Getting There
The arena is situated in the old town of Alcúdia, at Calle de la Plaça de Toros 1. Free parking is available directly on site.
