Pol Charter is a sailing charter company in Can Pastilla offering private sailing experiences aboard a classic two-masted vessel called Alcatraz.

Sailing aboard the Alcatraz

The boat itself — the Alcatraz — is a traditional two-master with a teak deck. This is a proper sailing vessel, not a modern fibreglass yacht. Freshly prepared tapas are served on board, and tours are capped at 12 guests, giving the whole experience a pleasantly exclusive feel. Anchoring and sailing routes are tailored to your wishes.

What to expect

Trips take you to secluded coves only reachable by boat, as well as to a natural sea cave. Snorkelling in a protected marine reserve and swimming are all part of the day, along with paddle surfing. You'll also get stunning views of Palma Cathedral from the water.

A family-run business

Pol Charter is very much a family affair — father and daughter, Nerea and her dad, both serve as skippers on board. The crew speaks English, German and Spanish. The boat is a wonderful choice for special occasions such as birthdays or stag and hen dos; birthday guests have even been treated to a surprise cake without any prior arrangement.
