Puig de Ferrutx is a mountain summit in the north-east of Mallorca, reachable via a walking trail that starts at the Ermita de Betlem.
The Ascent
The starting point for the walk is the Ermita de Betlem, from which the summit can be reached in around 70 to 90 minutes — faster for those with a bit more experience. The drive up to the hermitage follows a narrow, winding road. Along the middle section of the trail, the path can be tricky to follow: the correct route is distinguishable by its slightly brownish hue against the surrounding tall grass, and cairns mark the way.
