Description
Puig de la Tudossa is a panoramic summit in the Parc Natural de Llevant, near Artà in the north-east of Mallorca.
Panorama across the North-East
From the summit, the views sweep across the Bays of Alcúdia and Pollença and out to Cap Formentor — on a clear day, Menorca is visible on the horizon. At the top, antenna masts and radar equipment hum away in operation, marking this as a working technical site, though that does nothing to diminish its scenic appeal.
On Foot and by Bike
The road to the summit is asphalted and closed to cars and motorbikes. The ascent on foot takes around 90 minutes: roughly 45 minutes climbing through woodland, followed by a flatter stretch past the ruins of old military buildings, and a short final push to the top. The upper section runs without tree cover, which makes it a demanding stretch under a strong midday sun. The gravel track is well suited to gravel bikes and mountain bikes; take it steady on the way back down. The route corresponds to Itinerari 3 of the Parc Natural de Llevant, known as the Camí dels Presos.
Finding the Summit
Puig de la Tudossa lies within the municipality of Artà (07579), inside the Parc Natural de Llevant. A marked trail leads directly to the summit from the car park at the park entrance.
