Puig de Planícia is a walking area near Banyalbufar in south-west Mallorca, offering challenging trails through dense woodland and breathtaking views from the summit.

Narrow paths, unspoilt forest

The trails leading to the summit are narrow and were originally laid down by charcoal burners. They wind mainly through dense, shady woodland of holm oaks. Signposting is sparse — the occasional paint marking is your only guide on the way up. A hiking app with a reliable map is strongly recommended to keep you on track.

The walk is considered challenging and demanding. Those who make it to the top are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views. Forestry work has left no mark here — the woodland has remained in its natural state.
