Description

Puig de S'Aguila is a hiking peak in the municipality of Capdepera in north-east Mallorca, with well-marked trails and a panoramic view that takes in the surrounding coves and the inland landscape all at once.

To the Summit

The ascent to Puig de S'Aguila takes you across rocky, at times demanding terrain with the occasional scramble. Sure-footedness and sturdy footwear are essential — flip-flops are firmly out. The route is well signposted throughout, with yellow markers and red paint dots on the rocks keeping you on track. If you're setting off from Cala Mesquida, make sure to carry plenty of water for the return journey, especially in sunny weather.

The View from the Top

The summit panorama is the real reward: from up here your eyes sweep across Cala Mesquida, Cala Agulla, Cala Moltó, Cala Rajada and Capdepera, as well as the mountains and the interior of the island. Wild goats can occasionally be spotted on the slopes.
