Description
Puig des Revells is a mountain summit close to Palma, drawing hikers and mountain bikers alike with a rewarding trail and natural, rugged terrain.
The Ascent & Trails
The route starts at La Vileta cemetery, where you can leave your car. From there, a wide, well-maintained track leads uphill. After roughly ten minutes you reach a fork in the path marked by a stone bench — turn left here, drop briefly down the slope, then immediately turn right. From this point the trail becomes noticeably more demanding. The hike is short but intense. Mountain bikers also make use of the hill: the climb is considered very challenging, rocky and barely rideable, while the descent is somewhat easier, though it does contain sections where the risk of a fall is higher. Allow around two hours for an MTB loop.
The View from the Summit
Once at the top, a sweeping panorama opens up across Palma and the entire bay — and that view is the real reward of the trip. On the summit you'll also find a pirate flag planted in honour of Muriqi.
