Rides & Animal Care

Rancho Alegria offers rides of various lengths — including one- and two-hour tours. If you fancy it, you're welcome to groom the horses yourself and help get them ready before heading out. Groups are kept deliberately small, with a maximum of three guests per ride. Alongside the riding horses, the farm is also home to a small animal sanctuary. The horses are well cared for and even-tempered, with animal welfare and species-appropriate keeping clearly a top priority here.

Who the Farm Is Right For

Families with children are very much welcome — rides have been done with children as young as four. Complete beginners are looked after just as well as experienced riders, with horses matched to each person's level of experience. Therapeutic riding is also available at the farm.

The farm sits along the Camí Vell de Algaida in the municipality of Algaida, in the island's interior. Rides take you out through the beautiful countryside of the surrounding area.
