Description
The Roman Ruins of Pollentia are an archaeological excavation site in Alcúdia, in the north of Mallorca, where the remains of an ancient Roman city have been uncovered.
Forum, Theatre and Residential Quarters
The site encompasses the remains of a Roman forum, a theatre, and residential houses. Excavations are still ongoing, making a visit a fascinating glimpse into active archaeological work. The theatre is a particular highlight — it's well worth walking the entire site through to the far end, as it extends much further back than it first appears. Information boards are dotted throughout to help you find your bearings, and at the theatre a QR code gives you access to a digital audio guide.
Museum of Finds
Admission includes entry to a museum displaying finds from the excavations — among them statues, jewellery, and other artefacts unearthed at the site.
Location and Getting There
The ruins are located on Av. Prínceps d'Espanya in Alcúdia. Free parking is available directly at the site, including accessible spaces. The entrance is fully accessible.
