Sa Comuna de Bunyola is a nature reserve and recreational woodland in the municipality of Bunyola, nestled among the forests of the Serra de Tramuntana.
Woodland, Trails and Views
The area is made up of holm oak and pine forest alongside an ancient olive grove. Along the paths you'll come across wildflowers, moss, birds, sheep and goats. The viewpoints offer spectacular vistas across the surrounding landscape. The woodland is peaceful and quiet — nature is very much at the heart of it all.
Hiking and Mountain Biking
Sa Comuna is the starting point for a good range of walking routes and circular trails of varying lengths. The terrain is equally well suited to mountain biking. The paths are quiet and wind through pleasantly shaded stretches of woodland.
Picnic Area and Facilities
A spacious picnic area sits within the shaded holm oak forest, with plenty of tables and barbecue stations. The barbecue stations are currently closed due to the risk of forest fires. Drinking water and a toilet are available on site. The area is well kept, clean and generously spread out — a great spot to spend the day with family or friends.
Location and Getting There
The area is located on Ctra. sa Comuna in 07110 Bunyola. The access road is narrow and winding. During the summer months, access by car is restricted to residents only; visitors arriving without their own vehicle will need to continue on foot or by bike. A car park is available on site.
