Description

Sa Pedruscada is a small, unspoilt cove with a shingle beach near Capdepera in the north-east of Mallorca.

Fishermen's cottages and crystal-clear water

What sets Sa Pedruscada apart from other coves in the area are the old fishermen's cottages right at the water's edge — beautifully restored remnants of a time when local fishermen set out from here into the Mediterranean. The water is crystal clear, the seabed stony and partially covered with underwater plants, so water shoes are a good idea. The cove is a popular spot for snorkelling and swimming, even if the absence of a sandy beach means it may not suit everyone after a classic beach day. The broad sea wall is a lovely place to sit and soak up the peace and quiet.

Away from the crowds

Sa Pedruscada is quiet and rarely busy — if you're looking to escape the tourist trail, you'll find a genuinely authentic and idyllic little corner here. The cove is also well suited to young children. Do bear in mind that there are no facilities on site — no cafés, toilets or shops.

Getting there & coastal paths

Sa Pedruscada falls within the municipality of Capdepera (07590). The cove is reachable via coastal footpaths: one track heads towards the lighthouse, while another connects Sa Pedruscada with Cala Ratjada along the coastal route. The starting point at Son Moll is also within easy walking distance.
