Description

Sa Pesquera Plana is a wild, rocky cove on the coast of Llucmajor in the south of Mallorca.

Rock, Clear Water and Tranquillity

This small cove impresses with clear, clean water and an unspoilt, completely natural setting. The seabed is predominantly smooth rock rather than sand — water shoes are strongly recommended. Fish are plentiful, visibility is excellent, and the cala has become a favourite spot for snorkellers and divers as a result. There is no beach bar, no sun loungers, no parasols and no shade to speak of.

Sunset with Views Across to Palma

Sa Pesquera Plana really comes into its own at dusk: on a clear evening you can see all the way to Palma de Mallorca and the airport, and the sunset over the sea is one of the most memorable things about this spot. Compared with the busier beaches elsewhere on the island, the cove feels noticeably quieter and far less crowded.

Getting There & Location

The cove is located at Carrer Ondategui 33 in Llucmajor. From the parking area the cala is reachable on foot; parking itself is limited to the surrounding residential streets. The coastline here is rugged, the water entry is stony, and sea urchins are present in the shallows — sturdy footwear and care are very much advised. The access is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
