S’Arenalet des Verger
Description
S'Arenalet des Verger is a secluded sandy cove nestled within the nature reserve of the Artà municipality in Mallorca.
An Unspoilt Cove Within a Protected Landscape
The cove sits entirely within a nature reserve, meaning all development is strictly prohibited. The beach is defined by white sand and turquoise, crystal-clear water. Its remoteness keeps visitor numbers low — even outside peak season — making it a wonderfully peaceful spot for an undisturbed experience in nature.
Getting There
S'Arenalet des Verger can only be reached on foot, by mountain bike, or by boat. Those walking should allow roughly two to three hours each way, depending on where you leave your vehicle — the choice of starting point makes a considerable difference to the overall distance. Arriving by boat is also an option and saves the long trek on foot. Just behind the beach there is a refugio that can be used as overnight accommodation.
What to Expect
The trail itself rewards you with spectacular views and is widely considered just as worthwhile as the destination. There is no tourist infrastructure at the cove itself. Depending on weather and time of year, strong waves can make swimming difficult, and jellyfish have occasionally been spotted in the water. Arrive on a calm day, however, and you'll be treated to exceptionally clear water and pristine white sand.
