S‘estret Klettern Parkplatz
Description
S'Estret is a climbing and walking area located along the PM-111 on Mallorca, best known as a technically demanding sport-climbing destination.
Climbing & Walking
S'Estret is aimed primarily at climbers: the area is regarded as a technically challenging climbing spot with routes across a range of grades, with easier sectors kept separate from harder ones and boulder problems. Walls can be found on both sides of the valley path. If you're looking to walk rather than climb, signposted trails are few and far between — the ascent is steep, with loose rock and exposed slopes that demand care. Some routes are only in the shade during the morning.
Getting There
The starting point sits directly on the PM-111 (postcode 07170). The roadside car park is very small — space for around 15 vehicles — and fills up quickly, especially at weekends. If you want to be sure of a spot, it pays to arrive early. The area is reached immediately from the car park, though the noise from the road is a constant companion.
