Skualo is a diving and adventure sports centre in Porto Cristo, offering boat-based excursions, diving courses and sea cave tours.

What's on offer: Diving, snorkelling and sea caves

Skualo's programme revolves around water-based experiences along the Porto Cristo coastline. The flagship activity is the Sea Cave Trip by Boat: you head out by speedboat to the sea caves, where you can discover geological formations including stalactites and stalagmites, underground lakes and vast cave chambers. For those new to diving, the Discover Scuba Diving course starts with a harbour briefing before heading out to a nearby bay for a real dive. There's also the Natural Park Snorkel Boat Tour through the protected marine areas nearby, with all equipment and guiding included. The underwater world along the route features octopus, moray eels, rays, starfish and barracudas, among others.

Guides and organisation

Tours run in a well-structured manner: safety briefings, equipment and close supervision are all part of every outing. The team is well-practised with children and nervous beginners, and bookings are rescheduled flexibly when the weather turns. Guides are multilingual and lead groups in German as well as other languages. Toilets, changing facilities and a shower are available at the base on site.
