Sóller Playa
Description
Sóller Playa is the sandy beach of Port de Sóller – a harbour village on the north-west coast of Mallorca, nestled inside an almost entirely enclosed bay.
Calm water in a sheltered bay
The near-enclosed bay makes itself felt the moment you step into the water: it's largely wave-free and has very little current, making it ideal for a relaxed swim. Visibility is clear enough to spot fish beneath the surface. The marina and moored boats sit just alongside, so harbour views and a good dip in the sea come as a package.
Beach, promenade and surroundings
The sandy beach runs along a promenade lined with restaurants, cafés and shops just a short stroll away. The historic tram that connects Sóller with Port de Sóller also runs along this stretch – giving the place a wonderfully quirky character, though it can add noise and pavement congestion during busy periods. When visitor numbers are high – which can happen outside peak season too – the beach and surrounding lanes can feel quite crowded.
Location & getting here
The beach is located on Carrer de la Marina 3–11 in Sóller (Port de Sóller), Illes Balears. Parking is available nearby, though spaces can be hard to come by at weekends and during busier periods. You can also arrive by tram from Sóller town.
