Description
Soqueta Experiences offers cooking classes rooted in Mallorcan home cooking in Palma — from a market visit to cooking together in a proper family kitchen.
What to expect
The experience kicks off with a guided walk around the Mercat de l'Olivar in Palma, where Paula introduces regional produce and ingredients and shares the stories behind local suppliers. You then head to her kitchen, where traditional Mallorcan family recipes are cooked together from scratch. Everything is made with fresh, local ingredients sourced from nearby producers and the wider Balearic Islands, and the kitchen is equipped with traditional clay cookware. The recipes are deliberately straightforward — the kind you can genuinely recreate at home.
Real home cooking, not a restaurant experience
Soqueta is all about everyday, local cooking — not a tourist-friendly restaurant version. Paula shares family stories and insights into Mallorcan food culture and daily life. The kitchen itself is filled with family mementoes, giving the whole experience a warm, homely feel. The format works just as well for solo travellers as it does for families, groups of friends, and corporate teams — the latter can book it as a team-building or corporate event.
Where to find it
The address is Carrer Pintor Gabriel Comas i Roca 20, Local B, in the Platja de Palma i Pla de Sant Jordi district, 07199 Palma. The kitchen is located in the Sant Jordi neighbourhood.
