Description
Capocorb Vell is a Talayotic settlement near Llucmajor — one of the most significant prehistoric sites on Mallorca.
Stone Witnesses of Prehistory
Spread across the expansive site are well-preserved talayots and stone dwellings of the Talayotic culture. A marked circular trail takes you freely through the settlement, letting you explore the structures up close. Information boards explain the findings on site, though many visitors feel that more signage — particularly on the island's early settlement history — would be welcome.
Kiosk at the Entrance
Right by the entrance you'll find a small kiosk selling cold drinks and simple snacks — a much-appreciated stop, especially for cyclists passing through on the route.
Location & Getting There
The site sits along the Ma-6014, km 23, in the municipality of Llucmajor. Car parking is available directly at the entrance.
Who Is It For?
If you're drawn to prehistoric cultures and the early history of Mallorca, this is a truly impressive glimpse into the island's past. Families with children are welcome, though coming with some background knowledge or prior research helps, as the on-site information is fairly limited. Please note that dogs are not permitted.
