Description
The Boc Hostels - City is a modern hostel in the Llevant district of Palma, offering pod-style sleeping cabins, communal areas, and a rooftop pool.
Accommodation & Rooms
The hostel offers sleeping pods in dormitories — including an 8-bed dorm — as well as double rooms. Each bed is set up as a curtained pod with its own lighting, a power socket, and a large key-card-secured locker that can also fit a piece of hand luggage. Separate units are available exclusively for women and for guests with reduced mobility. All beds come with free Wi-Fi, heating, and a personal fan. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned regularly, with showers and facilities consistently kept in good order.
Communal Areas & Rooftop
The highlight of the hostel is the rooftop terrace with pool on the fourth floor — a favourite spot that gets especially busy during the summer months. There is also a fully equipped communal kitchen with fridges, along with several lounge and co-working areas. A gym with solid kit rounds out the offering, which is rather unusual for a hostel of this size. Reusable cups are used at the rooftop bar.
Location & Getting There
The hostel is located at Carrer de Son Pontivic 16 in the Llevant neighbourhood of Palma. The city centre is within walking distance, as is the bus station at Plaça d'Espanya, roughly a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk away. The beach is also reachable on foot, and a stop for the airport bus is nearby.
Good to Know
Check-in can take a fair amount of time when things get busy — it's worth bearing this in mind if you're arriving in the early afternoon. Some guests find noise an issue, whether from heavy doors or sounds from outside. Another recurring point worth noting is that air conditioning in certain rooms cannot be adjusted individually.
