The CIEA – Centro de Interpretación de la Educación Ambiental – is TIRME's visitor centre in Son Nebot, inviting you to discover what actually happens to everyday waste on Mallorca.

Environmental Education Up Close

The centre brings recycling and waste management to life for visitors of all ages – from school groups to families. Guided tours show how everyday rubbish becomes a resource and what the circular economy looks like in practice. The building makes a statement in itself: it was constructed using a high proportion of recycled materials and has a striking design to match.

Guided Tours & Events

Guided visits are available for both individuals and groups, including on selected Saturdays. Tours are conducted in Spanish and English. The centre also has a meeting room on the upper floor, used for educational and informational events. TIRME was awarded the Premio Lluminosa 2025 by ASINEM in recognition of its commitment to the circular economy on Mallorca.

The CIEA is located on the TIRME site in Son Nebot (07141 Son Nebot, Illes Balears). The facility is spacious and well equipped.
