Torrent des Bosc de Masanella

Description

The Torrent des Bosc de Masanella is a natural river in the Tramuntana mountains of Mallorca.

Nature & Landscape

The torrent winds its way through the spectacular scenery of the Tramuntana mountains. The route passes first by a country house, then continues through woodland to a forest shelter known as the Caseta des Bosc. From there, a path branches off to the left towards the Canaleta de Massanella — a historic water channel that is well worth a detour. The area sits within the municipal boundaries of Escorca, Mancor de la Vall and Alaró in the north-west of the island.

Walking & Climbing

The route can be tackled from either direction. As well as walking, the area is also used as a climbing spot. Those exploring the Tramuntana on a jeep safari will get a very different perspective on the landscape, though vehicle traffic can occasionally disturb the peace on the path.
