Description
Wikiki Gastrobar is a restaurant and bar in Cala Rajada offering a broad menu of sushi, tapas, burgers, cocktails and breakfast, right on the harbour.
History & Concept
The name is no coincidence: Wikiki Gastrobar is a deliberate homage to the original Wikiki Bar, which opened in Cala Ratjada in 1933. Its operator, known as Jack Bilbo, was an extroverted Central European adventurer who arrived on the coast during the interwar years. What was then a small fishing village became a haven for artists, entrepreneurs and intellectuals from across Europe — and Bilbo's bar was their meeting point. Today's Wikiki consciously keeps that spirit alive.
Food & Drink
The menu covers an impressive range: sushi, burgers, tapas, tacos, pasta, salads and breakfast all feature alongside bao buns with pulled pork, wok chicken, cod and secreto ibérico. The quality and presentation of the sushi are a consistent highlight, as is the variety of tapas and the burgers. Wikiki is equally popular as a breakfast spot and draws many repeat visitors. Among the cocktails, the mojito, sangria and margarita stand out in particular.
Location & Terrace
The bar is located at Carrer de Pizarro 15 in Cala Rajada, right on the harbour with views out to sea. A terrace with a sweeping harbour panorama is perfect for sitting out and soaking up the surroundings. Free on-street parking is available nearby.
Atmosphere
Both inside and out, Wikiki is stylishly put together, with guests consistently describing the atmosphere as relaxed and well-judged. The venue tends to be lively, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings.
