Django Wagner

Amsterdam, Niederlandeschlager · pop
Django Wagner was born on October 26, 1970, in Amsterdam and grew up on a gypsy trailer park in a musical Sinti family. He speaks four languages – Dutch, English, German and Sinti-Romanes – and has lived in the Brabant village of Nuenen since 1981. His Sinti heritage strongly shapes his sound, placing him in a tradition alongside artists such as the Rosenberg Trio and Tata Mirando. His debut album "Kali" was released in late 2009 on Berk Music. The title single was recorded in collaboration with the Rosenberg Trio, blending Romani rhythms with a modern twist. Subsequent singles "Beautiful Blue Eyes" and "My Name Is Marina" both entered the Dutch Single Top 10. Wagner has since released multiple albums on Discount Music and Berk Music. Notable collaborations include "Kali – Outsiders Remix" with hardstyle act Outsiders, "In Ons Cafe" with Frans Duijts, and "Vanaf Vandaag" with Peter Beense. Since 2017 he has been a member of the vocal group Echte Vrienden. He has performed at major Dutch events including Paaspop Festival, 538 Koningsdag and Intents Festival, cementing his status in the Dutch Schlager and pop scene.
