Dorfrocker
Kirchaich, Deutschlandschlager · pop · folk rock · partyschlager
Die Dorfrocker are a trio from the Lower Franconian village of Kirchaich: brothers Tobias Thomann (vocals, guitar), Philipp Thomann (lead guitar), and Markus Thomann (accordion), who founded the band together in 2005. Their sound blends modern pop and rock with traditional German folk music and Partyschlager, with a dash of country – songs revolve around village life, beer, and good times.
Their debut album *Party, Mädels… Geile Zeit!* was released in 2007 on Ariola Records, followed by early TV appearances on the folk music show *Feste der Volksmusik*. After opening for Schürzenjäger's farewell tour and releasing *Jetzt Geht's Tichtig Ab* (2008), the band broke into the German charts with *Remmi Demmi* (2010), including the single "Vogelbeerbaum / Schwarz-Rot-Gold" (DE #59). *Roll den Roten Teppich Aus* followed in 2012, and in 2014 the band signed with Sony Entertainment; their first Sony album *Dorfkind und Stolz Drauf* reached #12. A notable collaboration is the "Dorfkind – Mallorcastyle Mix" with Mia Julia, blending Schlager with Mallorca-party vibes. They have shared festival stages with artists such as Matthias Reim and Mickie Krause at events like the Hannover Olé.
