International Chopin Festival

To close its summer edition, the Festival Internacional Chopin returns once more to the Reial Cartoixa of Valldemossa – the place where Frédéric Chopin spent the winter of 1838/39 with George Sand and worked on his Préludes. Running since 1930, the festival upholds one of the island's oldest piano traditions, with international pianists at its heart. You experience Chopin's music within the historic walls of the Carthusian monastery, carried by the calm of the Serra de Tramuntana.
